Although there was a bit of a chill in the air, the wintry day was not that bad for a little wedding, and even the clouds in the sky seemed to clear in the sky for the event. Tucked away on a quiet hill, surrounded by trees, the historic Dahlgren Chapel exuded not only quaint tradition, but undeniable privacy for the bride and groom and their friends and collected family.

The small church itself was…tastefully!...decked out in most black and red, with splashes of the occasional white to keep it from being a little too Hot Topic goth-y, in a way that very intentionally meant to be a reflection of Liz's engagement ring.

And, so, with no Fandom Weirdness^™ to get in the way this time, the day was finally here for a small little wedding several months/ten years in the making.

Pre Wedding - Arrive at the Church

For the guests to arrive and find their seats before the wedding starts. Show off what you’re wearing and take the chance to talk quietly while everyone is getting settled.

Don't forget to grab your disposable cameras, though! At the entrance of the church, guests will find a small table with a collection of them, and a sign asking that they please help the couple remember this special day with the thing that brought them together in the first place. Take a camera, take some shots, and help spread the memories!

Steven was there. He wouldn't miss wishing Liz and Prompto happiness on this day for all the world. He dressed for the occasion in a blue suit but with a green pocket square that matched the color of Llewellyn's tie.

He of course took one of the cameras. He wanted to do Liz proud and show he'd paid attention in the lesson she'd given him what now felt like a lifetime ago.

Watts? Also here, obviously. In his green plaid suit and tie, along with a waistcoat that matched the colour of Steven's suit.

Though he would never claim any particular skill at photography, he took one of the cameras regardless and would do his best.

You'd be pretty hard-pressed to catch Summer before the actual ceremony, running around and making sure everything was set and in place before things really got started. She was, after all, pretty much the de facto bridesmaid here, as well as the wedding planner, the second of which was a role she was clearly leaning into hard with her smart little suit that matched the wedding colors and everything. But making sure everything was going well with guests and arrivals was part of that, too, so you would catch her occasionally sweeping by to ensure that was going well, too.

Steven assumed Summer would be very busy keeping on top of everything, so he gave her a wave hello when he spotted her but didn't try to interrupt in case she was in the middle of something.

Summer gave a quick, brief look around for any impending disasters and took a moment to listen very carefully for any hint of troubling sounds coming from the wings where the bride and groom were separately tucked away and, finding none, she nodded and then offered a wave back.

"Hi, Steven," she said. "How's it going?"

Of course it would, Summer had been involved.

"Doing all right?" he asked. "Need a hand with anything?"

Dwight was definitely there, he wouldn't have missed it for anything. The suit was his usual snazzy burgundy one he wore when a suit was needed. So, with camera in hand, Dwight made his way in, hoping he could get some good shots for Liz and Prompto at least.

Amaya had been debating a little about whether or not to come to the wedding; she wasn't really the wedding going type, if she could help it. But Prompto had been a student (and a good one at that), and she'd worked with Liz a little, and she had been invited, and she did have that whole thing about having all those nice clothes and not letting them go to waste, so she was there, feeling a bit awkward about it, and, yes, that was the same dress she'd worn to the last wedding. Why would you need to wear a different one when you already had a perfectly good one already?

Goose was there, wearing the same suit that he had worn to New Years but he had made the effort to dress up so it was pretty good progress for him.

He grabbed a camera, not sure how good he was going to be with the photos but he was going to try.

After a little nudging (and directing) from Gladio, who assured him that he could probably handle things just fine for the ceremony if he wanted to go sit down instead of just standing on the ready like him, Ignis found his way over to where he was led to believe Shane was seated.

"Room for one more?" he asked, and, really, that was a genuine question. It didn't feel like anyone had claimed a seat next to Shane, but...well...he couldn't really tell with the utmost certainty, after all.

Making it through the door had been a little bit of an adventure, but after figuring out the best way to duck and bend his knees (it was an interesting thing, really, to be so tall and yet have such short legs so that bending one's knees didn't really make that much of a height difference!), Sidon was relieved to find out that the interior of the church had a nice, tall ceiling.

And everyone else would probably be relieved that he fully intended to sit toward the back!

Somehow they had found a suit that fit Hellboy, even though he was looking a tad uncomfortable in it.

He did have his camera, ready to take photos and most of them were going to be of Rain carrying the rings but that wasn’t really that surprising for Hellboy.

Not that there was any doubt that Liz would make sure he could but it was still nice to see it'd been managed.

“I wouldn’t miss this for the world,” Hellboy grinned over at Steven, since he was pretty sure this was Steven he was talking to, “being here for Liz’s big day? Plus it gets me away from Manning for a while,” he added, since Manning was in charge while they were at the wedding.

Abe was wearing his special suit that let him breathe out of water and if he was looking a bit out of his element being at the wedding, he was …quite literally but he was trying to be good and not focus on all the thoughts around him.

He did have a camera but he was going to have a bit of trouble with taking the photos with his webbed hands.

Surely, there was nothing quite like a nine-foot-tall fellow anthropomorphic amphibian coming up to greet one with exuberant joviality to put help pull one out of one's discomfort with a situation!

"Pardon me if I may seem a bit presumptuous," Sidon continued as he grinned down at Abe, "but you wouldn't happen to be one Mr. Abe Sapien, by chance, would you?"

For a very rare moment, Abe was almost startled into silence as looked way up.

“I am,” he nodded once he had found his voice again, “I don’t believe we have met,”

He was trying really hard to not just try and read Sidon’s thoughts since he had promised that he would try and not do that while he was at the wedding.

Kurt had been keeping to himself, feeling quite out of place at a nice event like a wedding. It was events like this that kinda hammered home how different things were likely going to be for him given who... what... he was and all. And it was that uneasiness that made him all the more curious when he saw Abe.

"Hi..." he said somewhat quietly and awkwardly as he walked over. "I'm Kurt. Welcome... to the island," he said with a small smile.

Abe had not expected to be meeting so many people who were similar to him, even though Liz had said that he wouldn’t stand out as much as he thought, “Kurt,” he nodded his head in greeting, “I’m Abe, I’m a friend of Liz’s,” he added.

Even though Prompto was his newest employee and he had definitely flirted with Liz quite shamelessly on occasion, Shunsui really didn't know the bride and groom very well. But an invitation had been extended to him, and who was he to say no? Besides, he loved a party, and weddings were usually a great opportunity to meet and chat up any beautiful distant cousins or attractive aunts in the married couple's extended family...

Shunsui was about to be very disappointed in this wedding.

Although there was a certain blacksmith...

Hannibal was definitely here. In a grey double-breasted wool suit with maroon and blue tie.

He'd pick up a camera and do his best to take some artistic shots. Which would probably all end up vaguely threatening looking due to odd angles and focus on architectural elements.
