Although there was a bit of a chill in the air, the wintry day was not that bad for a little wedding, and even the clouds in the sky seemed to clear in the sky for the event. Tucked away on a quiet hill, surrounded by trees, the historic Dahlgren Chapel exuded not only quaint tradition, but undeniable privacy for the bride and groom and their friends and collected family.

The small church itself was…tastefully!...decked out in most black and red, with splashes of the occasional white to keep it from being a little too Hot Topic goth-y, in a way that very intentionally meant to be a reflection of Liz's engagement ring.

And, so, with no Fandom Weirdness^™ to get in the way this time, the day was finally here for a small little wedding several months/ten years in the making.

"Hello, there!"

Surely, there was nothing quite like a nine-foot-tall fellow anthropomorphic amphibian coming up to greet one with exuberant joviality to put help pull one out of one's discomfort with a situation!

"Pardon me if I may seem a bit presumptuous," Sidon continued as he grinned down at Abe, "but you wouldn't happen to be one Mr. Abe Sapien, by chance, would you?"

For a very rare moment, Abe was almost startled into silence as looked way up.

“I am,” he nodded once he had found his voice again, “I don’t believe we have met,”

He was trying really hard to not just try and read Sidon’s thoughts since he had promised that he would try and not do that while he was at the wedding.

At least there was very little more than what Sidon was openly saying outloud going on in his mind to be read, and he let out a pleased chuckle in response.

"You are quite correct," he said cheerfully. "We most certain have not! But my very good friend Prompto has told me much about you, Mr. Sapien! Allow me to introduce myself! I am Sidon!" Here, he swept a big pump of his fist across his chest and flashed Abe his best toothy smile. "The Zora prince! And it is so nice to finally be able to make your acquaintence!"

Abe did look rather pleased at that, well as pleased as he could look for Abe, “please call me Abe,” he said, “and I’m pleased to meet you as well, your highness,”

Abe knew that Sidon didn’t normally go for protocol in regards to titles but it seemed rude to not address him by his title when they had only just met.

"Just Sidon is quite fine, Abe, I assure you," Sidon chuckled a little. "Such formalities are dreadfully unnecessary among friends, after all! And any friend of Prompto and Liz's is surely a friend of mine!"

Especially since they already possessed a rare commonality that no one else there could claim to have!

Abe nodded at that, “Sidon,” he said, “then I’m pleased to be your friend as well, I don’t get to make that many, considering …” he raised a webbed hand and indicated his general appearance about why making friends outside the BPRD was difficult, “there’s not many opportunities to do so I’m afraid,”

"I can certainly understand," Sidon said with another chuckle and a sympathetic smile, "the difficulties some of us face in that respect."

Granted, Sidon very rarely cared what others thought, which always lead to interesting results when he did go traipsing around the mainland or out and about during the school trips.

"You should come visit us in Hyrule some time!" he offered. "I imagine you'd feel right at home in Zora's Domain!"

Abe did look very interested in that prospect, “that sounds fascinating, I do enjoy getting to learn about different places, most of my travel is mission based, the wedding being an obvious exception,” he added.
