The Apartment Above the Photo Hut - Saturday Morning

Liz had gone for a walk early that morning as part of her daily exercise and while on her walk she decided to try her hand at baking, so she stopped by the store to get a few extra ingredients, plus making sure there was enough food for Gladio as well and made her way back to the apartment.

After taking a moment to drink some water and rest before she put away the groceries, Liz got everything out and began preparing to make a cake, she knew she could have bought one at the bakery but she wanted to try baking and see how it turned out.

She did decide to put on some music while she cooked, listening to the Beatles as she started mixing everything together, every now and then she would start singing along.

"Hey," said Prompto back, unable to keep his grin from turning into a laugh, and then he shifted a little, so they could be facing each other on their sides, because, look, he'd been doing his research, and knew that that would probably be much more comfortable for Liz. Plus, it freed up his hand nicely so that he could lift it to her face to lightly brush his thumb against her cheek, against the corner of that smile he thought he'd pretty much lost forever.

Liz did appreciate the change in position and she adjusted her position slightly so she could get a bit more comfortable and she stared at Prompto, not wanting to take her gaze off him, as they lay on their sides. She took a moment to appreciate the comfort that a gesture like Prompto brushing his thumb against her cheek could bring, she had missed this so much.

“It’s going very well,” she told him and started to giggle a bit, her blush deepening even more, “and you?”

"Going better than it's been for a very, very long time," Prompto answered back, unable to help getting caught up in the deep sincerity of the moment, so much so that, after a barely even a moment after he started to just look at Liz after he'd said it, he had to start kissing her again, or else he'd just be completely and utterly overwhelmed with it all.

Liz wasn’t sure if it was possible for her smile to get any bigger than it was but she stared back at Prompto, eyes shining and bright and then when he started to kiss her again, she happily leaned in to that kiss. She was enjoying just how amazing it really was, being there with Prompto and she still couldn’t believe how real everything was, just to make sure she wasn’t dreaming this, she did reach an arm out to wrap around Prompto so that she could help bring herself in a bit closer all the while keeping that kiss going.
