Room 515 - Wednesday Morning
Liz knew that she couldn't put off a phone to Professor Broom any longer so she finally picked up the phone and dialed Professor Broom's number.
"Hello? Professor Broom speaking," Liz only just managed to stop herself from hanging up the phone. Instead she took a deep breath and replied.
"Professor, it's me, Liz," she said quietly.
"Liz," the Professor said warmly, "how are you?"
"I haven't been that great," she said softly.
Instantly Professor Broom's voice became more worried, "what happened Liz, what's wrong?"
"I had another burst," she said in a voice that was barely more than a whisper. "A couple of weeks ago,"
"Oh," Professor Broom said, his voice becoming more concerned "how did that happen?"
"I went to a help a friend of mine, there was a fight...my arm got broken, as soon as that happened I lost control...again,"
"I'm sorry Liz," Professor Broom said gently.
"It's not your fault," tears started welling up in Liz's eyes despite how hard she tried to stop them, "I thought I had it under control, I've been trying to control my powers so they don't get out of control again...I just didn't expect to lose control so soon,"
There was a long pause at the other end of the phone before Professor Broom spoke again.
"Would it be possible for you to come home this weekend?" Professor Broom asked, "do you have any plans made?"
"No," Liz shook her head even though Professor Broom wouldn't be able to see it, "there's a dance on Friday but I wasn't planning on going, I'm not really up to being social,"
"Understandable, when is your last class for the week?"
"Tomorrow morning," Liz said softly.
"I'll arrange for you to be picked up Tomorrow afternoon," Professor Broom said gently, "we can work through some of the problems that you've been having then,"
"Thank you Professor,"
"You're welcome Liz, I'll see you tomorrow afternoon,"
"Bye Professor,"
"Bye Liz,"
When the phone call ended Liz sighed as she sat down on her bed, she just hoped that she would one day be able to control her powers.
