Room 515 - Tuesday Evening

Liz had remained in her room for the majority of the day after what had happened this morning. She still didn't know what had happened and that's what scared her. The other times her powers had flared up had been a result of being under extreme stress and as far as she knew she hadn't been stressed that morning, only when her power had suddenly flared up.

She was sobbing into her pillow, anything could have happened that morning. It could have been another disaster like the one a few months ago. What had made them flare up in the common room like that? She really didn't know the answer to that.

Liz shook her head, "no," she said in a voice that was barely above a whisper.

He gave her a hug, fueled by concern, sympathy, and enough sugar to kill a cougar. "samatta?" For John is eloquent on a sugar high.

Liz managed to calm down enough to say, "I'm not sure how it happened but this morning in the common room..." her voice trailed off, she wasn't sure how to explain it.

"You baked cookies of your own and failed to invite me?" His smile slipped into a frown. "That's okay. I forgive you." He gave her another hug because he was so helpful like that.

"No," Liz shook her head, "my powers flared up..." she said tearfully.

"Hey. Um. Totally not the right time to ask this," he said, using a blanket to wipe the tears away, "but if you held some cookie dough in your hands and used your powers, would you make cookie balls? Cuz that would be so awesome. I'm such a bad friend."

Liz blinked, she wasn't really comfortable with the idea of using her powers but maybe she could see if she had them under control, "um...I guess I could try," she said slowly.

"Sweet! I'm outta dough, so we'll hafta test it later. But I do have some undercooked cookies. Like this one." He puts one on a nearby plate after checking for microwaveablility and ovenability.

Liz carefully took one of the undercooked cookies in her hand, she stared at it for a few seconds, focused and slowly flames appeared in her hand. She waited for a while as the cookie heated up and when it was done the flames vanished.

She breathed a sigh of relief, she could still control her powers. "Is this okay?" she asked as she handed the cookie to John.

"DUDE!" He popped up and took the cookie. "Owowowowowow! Crispy! It's done! Er, more done. Done-r. Donerer. Ogod I had too much sugar."

Liz couldn't help but smile but to be on the safe side she asked, "are you okay?"

"Yes. No. My pancreas asplode. Too much sugar. Way too happy. You're too sad. Ying yang?" He pounces on her again, hugging her. "I should go. Other people need cookies. Gotta get Ranma, Setsuna, Naomi, and others. Think they're up? In their rooms? Ogod, I'm gonna be dead tomorrow." He wipes her eyes again. "You gonna be okay? Check up on me later. See if I'm inna coma. Weee!"

Liz did her best to follow that, and she thought she half understood what he was saying, "um...sure, okay,"

"Okay. Okay okay okay. You're gonna be okay. You can bake cookies with your hand, which is like the best power evaar.

Liz nodded, she really didn't know what to say in response, "um, yeah," she said slowly.

"Okay. I'm-a go now. More cookies, more people." He gives her a hug and smiles at her. "You stay okay. Not good, not bad, but at least okay. Okay?"

He pounces on her for one more hug and runs out the door with his plate, yellingthat Liz can bake cookies. Ohhhh yeah, he's gonna crash hard.
