Le Continental Restaurant, Quebec, Friday Evening

After a lovely dinner yesterday, Prompto and Liz were having their second dinner to celebrate Prompto’s birthday and had chosen a restaurant to try. Babysitting duties had been arranged and it was going to be their second kid free evening of the trip.

“Happy birthday,” Liz smiled as they were lead to their table, “I know its not Cafe Fina but I hope this will be a nice place to celebrate,”

"Right?" Prompto said with a laugh. "It's been a wild two years, but I couldn't imagine it any other way. Well..."

A little bit of a shy grin surfaced as he settled back down in his chair, a blush rising up against his freckles.

"Maybe some other way. Hard not to think, now that Noctra's getting bigger and older..."

He trailed off a little, to see if Liz could tell where he might be going with that thought.

Liz found herself blushing as well as she returned that shy smile, “you know that would be absolutely perfect, especially as Noctra is getting older.,” she assured him.

Prompto sighed out a little with relief that they seemed to be on the same page, with a small nerve-soothing chuckle. "It's just something I've been thinking about a lot more now," he confessed. "But I mean, sure, yeah, it's easy for me to sit here and think, 'hey, wouldn't it be great to have more kids?' I'm not the one having to do any of the really hard work, you know?"

Liz smiled, “it will be wonderful,” she assured him, “being able to grow our family, have brothers and sisters for Noctra,”

"Well, then," said Prompto grinning even more as he leaned forward toward Liz a little, "then maybe we better get to ordering already, because the sooner we're done here, the sooner we can get back to working on that."

There was wiggling eyebrows.

How this woman actually put up with him enough to even want a family with him was a mystery for the ages, but he was absolutely not questioning it!

Liz giggled and blushed, “I think that sounds like a wonderful idea,” she said shyly, “what were you thinking of having?”
