It was Parents Weekend and HB and Professor Broom were here, Liz hadn’t seen them since the wedding and they got to meet Noctra, which Liz would have liked for Prompto to be there but she was definitely making sure that there were plenty of photos.

Apparently Noctra had also taken a liking to HB’s horns and had definitely attempted to try and grab them, so Liz was spending a bit of time explaining that they weren’t for grabbing.

And Prompto did manage to slip out of work a little early (if Apu had an issue with it, he could take it up with Summer!), and he did, as promised, show up with pizza. A few boxes, with a good variety: veggie, meat lover's, a ham and pineapple because he was feeling like living dangerously. And breadsticks, of course. If anything, he figured Hellboy would probably eat as much as him and Liz combined, really.

"Honey!" he called out when he nudged open the door with his arms and hands filled with the food he was bearing. "I'm hoo~ome!"

"Hi," and there was Liz at the door, "how was the rest of the work?" she smiled as she leaned in to give him a kiss on the cheek, "did you want me to take anything?" she nodded in the direction of the living room, "Noctra's with HB and Broom, she's very fascinated by his horns,"

"Yeah, I could tell from the pictures," Prompto said with a chuckle, giving her a swift kiss back and passing over some of the pizza boxes. "They get in okay, then? No problems?"

A pause, before asking the really important questions: "Any cates?"

Liz took the pizza boxes, "they had a good trip, luckily there was no last minute supernatural happenings for them to contend with, even though that's likely to happen next month," she admitted and then she smiled at the last question, "it seems that HB and Broom came to an agreement, he could bring one,"

And then right on cue there were two cats that appeared right then to see what was happening at the door, first there was Rain and then there was Leo who instantly started to go up to Prompto and started purring.

Prompto gasped, and very quickly found a spot to set down the remaining box and the breadsticks. "Leo!" he said, then kneeling down to meet him with some pets and scritches. "My main man! How are ya, little buddy? Ohhhh, man, look how big you are!"

Not so big that the grunt he gave when lifting him wasn't mostly performative, and so now he stood back up with a cat in full snuggle mode. "Aww, hey, I missed you, buddy! Glad you could come visit!"

And then, leaning toward Liz with a glance toward the living room where he suspected their guests were, he whispered, "Do you think they'll notice if we just try and keep him?"

Liz smiled as she watched Prompto and Leo fondly and she lowered her voice as she whispered back, "well I think HB might, even though knowing HB I think he'd try and find a way for Leo to stay here, Leo definitely settled in quickly here, I have to show you the photos I took of him and Noctra," she told him with a grin.

"I guess we'd have to see what Rain would think about it, too," said Prompto, who was now sending an arched brow and a speculative look down at the other cat as well.

Rain purred happily at that idea and then not wanting to be left out of getting pets and scritches she started meowing and moved closer to Prompto.

"I think she's in favour of the idea," Liz grinned as she watched her.
