The Apartment Above the Photo Hut - Tuesday Afternoon

It was getting later in the day and after she’d finished the chores she’d needed to do around the house and got Noctra settled for the afternoon, Liz couldn’t help but look at phone to see if Prompto had called or messaged and so far there was nothing.

Liz knew that Prompto had been out working on getting shots with his new camera lens and it wasn’t unusual that he would stay out late with work but he normally called beforehand that he wouldn’t be back til late.

She bit her lip and looked at the time and then her recent messages and there was still nothing.

And, with the diner slow that say and his own fretting increasing slightly with his own failure to touch base with Gladio and now Prompto as well, Ignis figured he could at least skip the phone with one of them and just headed over to Prompto and Liz's after confirming Gladio's coninued absence at the gym and apartment.

And so, lo and behold, a rather concerned knock came rapping at the door.

At the rate in which Ignis would be disappointing young women by showing up on their doorstep that day, it was a good thing that his sense of self-esteem was relatively healthy.

He met Liz's greeting with a faint smile and a nod, ready to ask if he could speak with Prompto when she beat him right to the punch on that one.

"Ah," he said, stopping a bit after stepping in, "I...well, I stopped by hoping to catch him, so I suppose the point of my visit is a bit moot. I've been trying to reach him on his phone, but to no avail. I just assumed perhaps he'd let the thing go dead for having forgotten to charge it. It wouldn't be the first time, after all."

Unable to reach them both by phone was quite disturbing, but he was trying not to jump to any startling or worrying conclusions.

"Where is it that he's gone to?"

"Mmm, well," Ignis frowned thoughtfully, "I'm sure we both can agree that, at times, Prompto's attention span can likely be bested by goldfish, so that, in addition to a dead phone, could be a recipe for losing track of time until he runs out of light or runs out of photos, whichever might come first.

"I can certainly do another loop around the island before I head to Nell's," hdle offered, "though as far as search parties go, I may not be the most effective choice."

That last time had certainly crossed Ignis' mind as well, because the last thing they needed to deal with right now was the possibility that Ardyn Izunia was somehow involved in this sudden disappearance. Just thinking about it now, Ignis felt a chill race up his spine that he tried his best to hold back, but his compulsively shivered, just slightly, and tried not to think of the implications of such a thing.

"It certainly wouldn't hurt," he said, "and, moving forward, if this does end up being something more than just carelessness on his part, do let me know if I can help. If you need me to take care of her so you can search unfettered. Hopefully, though, you will, indeed, find him, and, subsequently, I hope, give him a good earful about it, too."
