The Apartment Above the Photo Hut - Sunday Morning
It was Prompto’s first father’s day and Liz wanted to make sure that it was a special occasion and so she had gotten up early to start making breakfast for him. Noctra was still asleep but it wouldn’t be long before she would wake up for her feed so she wanted to try and get as much of a head start on breakfast as she could. In the meantime she had also fed Rain so Rain was happily by her food bowl eating while Liz started cooking.
She had decided to go with making bacon and eggs and pancakes, so she was trying to be careful about not making too much noise since Prompto and Noctra were still asleep.
[for the husband! And up early for timezones and all the sp!]

There was about two point five seconds where Prompto rolled over and was disappointed, and then maybe a little worried, to discover Liz's side of the bed empty, but then the aromas that caught his attention and it clicked in his still sleepy brain what was going on.
He still linger, though, a bit, in the peace and quiet as he also listened to sounds of baby and cat, and knew that these moments were rare indeed and something to savor when he could.
Eventually, though, the promise of breakfast lured him out, shuffling his feet and stifling a yawn as he scratched his stomach, hair all a mess and a sleepy smile on his face as he went to greet the chef with a kiss to her shoulder.
"This," he declared, "smells awesome."

And then, a dopey sort of grin as if he'd only just made the connection that that would include him now.
"And that's all for me, huh?"

It still sort of blew his mind that the titled even could apply to him, even faced with it every day, much less having a whole day for it.

"...anything I'd like?" he asked.

He reached over to (carefully, quickly) pluck a piece of bacon up. "Stealing this."
He shook his hand a little because, well, that was hot, but then he popped the bacon into his mouth. "There's no stopping me now!"

Even if Father's Day was a thing where he was from, it would have been a very awkward affair for him overall, really, well before he even knew about the whole clone thing.

Which meant that, as the moment caught up with him, he just sort of stepped back in to wrap his arms around Liz again in a hug, the plates in her hand be damned. Then a kiss on her forehead.
"Thanks for this."

"You're very welcome," she smiled up at him, taking a moment to enjoy just how nice this moment was and then she leaned in to give him a kiss.

"I'm just so lucky to have you guys, you know?" he said, and then pulled back enough to give her a smile. "Sorry to get all serious about it, but it just kind of hit me, you know?"
