Liz did try to laugh at the joke but a few more hiccups escaped instead and she fell silent as she lay there, her head resting on his chest.

“I’m not going anywhere either,” Liz said softly, clinging as tightly as she could to Prompto, “I … I just want to stay here with you,”

She did remember that eventually she would have things like work, that she would have to let everyone know that she was okay and that all of her things were still at Dr. Lecter’s but she would focus on that later … she just wanted that reassurance and comfort from Prompto being here with her.
